Interactive Marketing Conference - Chris Anderson in Toronto!
Chris Anderson to outline his new “Free” theories in Toronto talk May 15
Wired editor gives keynote speech at new Interactive Marketing Conference
The Interactive Marketing Conference will feature a keynote speech by Chris Anderson, editor in chief of Wired magazine and author of influential business books The Long Tail and the forthcoming Free. Anderson, named one of “the 100 most influential thinkers in the world” by Time magazine, will explain why “free” is the way of the future for online enterprises. Anderson’s “long tail” concept, which showed how the Internet has challenged existing business models enabling the rise of highly specialized niche companies, is one of the most discussed business ideas of the decade. The premise for his next book, Free, featured in the current April edition of Wired, promises to have a similar impact.
Leading social media thinker Paul Gillin, author of The New Influencers: A Marketer’s Guide to the New Social Media, is also a featured presenter at the conference. An authority on the use of blogs, podcasts, online videos and social networks, Gillin will provide strategic insight into how marketers can leverage new digital channels to create customer relationships built on trust and conversation.
The Interactive Marketing Conference is the first Toronto event and the first English-language event from the Montreal-based Éditions Infopresse. Infopresse puts on about 45 business conferences annually in Quebec and France.
