Canoe Inc. (canoe.ca) is currently looking for an Account Executive to work in the National Sales department of our downtown Toronto, Ontario office.
Canoe Inc. (a Quebecor Media company) has developed into Canada's leading content provider since launching on March 4, 1996. Staffed around the clock, Canoe provides news and information, including photos and data from Canada and around the world.
An Account Executive manages an assigned territory where he or she services the existing clientele and prospects and builds new relationships with ad agencies and clients directly, focusing primarily on new business development.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Prospect new accounts in assigned territory
• Focus heavily on business development and building new relationships
• Maintain existing relationships and establish new relationships with Agencies and clients direct with categories
• Understand client objectives and implement innovative interactive campaigns
• Brainstorm with product managers to come up with new ideas and solutions for clients/advertisers
• Follow through client servicing to ensure client objectives are delivered as promised
• Drive revenue priorities in the pursuit to meet and /or exceed revenue targets and objectives
• Maintain the quality and integrity of the Contact Management Database
• Manage processes to ensure accurate invoicing
• Create / develop dynamic PowerPoint proposals
• Follow and adhere to all pricing, programs, packages and policies
Required Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to manage and grow major account relationships
• In-depth knowledge of Internet industry a must
• Superior communication skills
Education and Experience:
• Minimum of 1 (one) year media sales experience in traditional or ideally interactive media space
• College and/or University degree
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
