The discussion will take us into the finer details of how newspapers are keeping on target to meet our clients' objectives. Seamus O'Regan, co-host of CTV's Canada AM, will moderate & ensure you leave knowing one thing about newspapers ... "X" truly does mark the spot!

Sunni Boot

Media Director of the Year: everybody loves Sunni.

The unforgettable name. The fiery-coloured suits. The extraordinary media savvy. Sunni Boot, president of ZenithOptimedia, has developed quite a reputation in the ad biz over the years. It's no surprise, therefore, that for the second consecutive time, she's been crowned the country's best media director.

Hugh Dow

Innovative, informed, proactive, accessible, open-minded and knowledgeable.

These are some of the adjectives used to describe Hugh Dow, president of M2 Universal, head of the Canadian Media Directors’ Council committee, and winner of Strategy’s Best Media Director competition for the second year in a row.

Media sales execs noted that as well as developing close relationships with sellers, Dow has gone beyond understanding the nuts and bolts of individual media to grasp the big picture. Not only where Canadian media is today, but where it’s headed in the future.

Lorraine Hughes

Lorraine's 32 year career has been spent with some of this country's most notable advertising Agencies. Just prior to taking the helm at OMD, Lorraine spent 8 years at TBWA\Chiat\Day in her dual role as Media Director and Director of Operations. During her stay at the TBWA she led one of the most innovative media teams in the country wining Media Operation of the Year in 1997 and named one of the top five Media Directors of 1999. In addition to her media leadership role, Lorraine also managed the Creative Services Department of the Agency.

Lorraine's experience over the years, with Agencies such as McCann Erickson, Scali McCabe Sloves and Vickers and Benson, gives her a broad and diverse perspective of our industry. In her position as President OMD, Lorraine uses that perspective to lead Canada's largest media company towards the future.

Lorraine is widely involved in the industry sitting on the Boards of the CMDC and PMB. She is also involved with the BBM TVEC Committee as well as a member of the ASC Consumer Response panel.
